NATIONAL CULTURAL ARTS COACHING PROGRAM MODULE

OBJECTIVE/ INTRODUCTION

The published Module is suitable to the efforts of the Ministry through JKKN in communizing and promoting cultural arts in all layers of society. Through it, the public will be able to learn the techniques of that cultural field.

DEFINITION OF CULTURAL FIELD

The National cultural arts coaching program module has the potential to be expanded to the whole society, particularly among school students. There are 6 cultural field which are traditional dance field, theatre, music, silat, top spinning, and linguistic arts.

USAGE

This module only serves as a guide to all JSBN who have attended the JSBN course organized by JKKN for teaching and learning purposes based on this module.

MODULE USAGE TARGET

This module is suitable for all layers of society that have the interest in learning the said six fields.

TEACHING AND LEARNING PERIOD

The teaching and learning period for this module for each field is six months, with a rate of three to four hours a week. For short term courses, this module is for at least 72 hours or equivalent to eight days of courses.

CULTURAL ARTS SKILLS AND MASTERY EXPECTATIONS

A person who attends the course and learn one of the cultural art field contained in this module should understand and master skills – skills in traditional dance, theatre, music, silat, top spinning and linguistic art at the end of their course. Participants will at least be able to perform in public based on the particular cultural field base.
